(English) Mohammad Abu Khdair murder: Two Israelis found guilty

Two 17-year-old Israelis have been convicted of the murder of a Palestinian youth, abducted and burned to death in Jerusalem in 2014.

A verdict on a third suspect and alleged ringleader was postponed for a mental health review.

The murder of 16-year-old Mohammad Abu Khdair fuelled spiralling violence between Israel and Palestinians which led up to a war with militants in Gaza.

He was was killed in apparent revenge for the murders of three Israelis.

Mohammad Abu Khdair’s charred and beaten body was found in a forest in West Jerusalem on 2 July, two days after the bodies of three Israeli teenagers murdered by Hamas militants were found in the West Bank.
