United For Syria charity soccer tournament! Fundraising campaign for UNHCR—to support Syrian refugees who need life-saving help!
The Syrian conflict has resulted in the biggest humanitarian crisis of our time. As of April 2015, there are 4.8 million total persons of concern. This figure includes 2.1 million Syrians registered by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, and Lebanon. Another 2.7 million Syrians registered by the Government of Turkey, as well as more than 28,000 Syrian refugees registered in North Africa.
The founder and President of Humans for Peace Institution and the representative and Ambassador of Peace of the International Organization “SHIELD” in Canada Dr Mohd Jamal Alsharif said ” We are pleased to help in the organization of such event to bring awareness and to help United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to fundraise money to continue their tremendous job”. Where he also spoke to some politicians about the situation in the middle east and the refugee problem, and explore more ways that Canada can help there.
